5-foot snake rescued from house, released into forest in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- Panic gripped a family after a five-foot-long cobra entered their house at Gauda Sahi under Chitrakonda in Odisha's Malkangiri district on Wednesday. The venomous snake reportedly crawled into the house while chasing a rat that had entered the premises.
According to sources, the family members noticed the movement of the cobra inside the house and were immediately alarmed. Realising the potential danger, they informed a local snake rescuer for help. The timely response helped prevent any untoward incident, and no injuries were reported during the entire episode.
