Bhubaneswar, June 9 -- A 4-feet-long cobra and 16 eggs were rescued from a pile of stones in Arjunsinghpur village under Satashankha area of Puri district on Tuesday.

The incident came to light when some workers were removing stones and spotted a snake hiding underneath, leaving them frightened.

During further inspection, white-coloured snake eggs were found inside the pile of stones. The villagers immediately informed the Snake Helpline, following which its members reached the spot and began the rescue operation.
