35 tonnes of DAP stock for illegal cannabis cultivation seized in Odisha; warehouse sealed
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 -- A large quantity of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertiliser allegedly meant for use in illegal cannabis cultivation was seized in Baliguda in Odisha's Kandhamal on Sunday.
The seizure was made after police received information from a reliable source about the stock being stored at the warehouse in the town. Acting on the information, a team led by the Baliguda SDPO conducted a surprise raid on the premises.
According to reports, police seized 700 packets of DAP fertiliser, which was allegedly stored illegally for use in cannabis cultivation. Nearly 35 tonnes of the fertiliser was recovered from a warehouse.
