Bhubaneswar, May 3 -- In a shocking incident at Chennai International Airport on Sunday, a passenger reportedly jumped from an Air Arabia aircraft during its landing. However, reports said, the 231-passenger flight, arriving from Sharjah, was in the process of landing when the emergency gate opened unexpectedly, and the passenger jumping onto the runway.

This led to a temporary halt in runway operations, causing delays in several flights.

The passenger involved, identified as 34-year-old Mohammad Sharif Mohammad Najmuddin from Pudukkottai, was quickly attended to by authorities. The pilot immediately stopped the plane and informed the airport authorities about the emergency.
