Bhubaneswar, March 3 -- Bhubaneswar will remain under a stringent security blanket during Holi, as the Commissionerate Police roll out elaborate arrangements to maintain law and order and ensure peaceful celebrations across the capital. With a clear warning against drunk driving, police have stated that vehicles will be seized and offenders sent to custody if found violating the law.
Under the leadership of the DCP, four Additional DCPs and eight SP-rank officers will supervise the extensive security operations. As many as 17 mobile patrol teams will comb the city, keeping constant vigil in sensitive and crowded areas. Drunk-and-drive checks will be conducted at 85 locations to deter violations and prevent accidents.
