3 days of heavy rain ahead; low-pressure system intensifies over Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- Under the influence of a low-pressure area formed over the north-western Bay of Bengal, some parts of Odisha are currently witnessing a spell of very heavy rainfall. The weather system is expected to move northwards and intensify further, resulting in continued rainfall across the state for the next three days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), red, orange and yellow warnings have been issued for different districts across the state. Wind speed is likely to reach up to 50 kmph in some parts of the state.
