India, Oct. 6 -- The Odisha Vigilance has arrested Executive Engineer Arabinda Mohanty in connection with a disproportionate assets case following searches at his linked properties. Mohanty is posted at the Betanati subdivision under the Baripada division in Mayurbhanj district. He will be forwarded to the Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada on Tuesday.

The arrest comes a day after Vigilance searches uncovered multiple properties, cash and vehicles linked to Mohanty. During the searches, officials identified assets that Mohanty allegedly could not satisfactorily explain in relation to his known sources of income.
