Bhubaneswar, March 17 -- In a heart-wrenching incident, a two-year-old boy lost his life after being trapped under debris when a wild tusker rampaged through the village late Monday night. The incident occurred in Kendukhunta village under the Raibania Police station limits in Balasore district. The tusker broke down a house, causing significant damage, and the child was crushed under the rubble.

Despite the family's desperate attempts to rush the child to the hospital, doctors declared the child dead on arrival. The sudden and tragic event has left the village in shock, with locals calling for immediate government intervention.
