India, July 20 -- According to the family, around 150 grams of gold, more than one kilogram of silver and approximately Rs 1.5 lakh in cash were stolen from their residence.

The incident allegedly took place at the house of businessman Ippili Chandra and Ippili Sujata. The couple had locked their house and left at around 6.30 PM yesterday. When they returned at around 8.00 PM, they found a window broken and three almirahs damaged.

After discovering the burglary, the family lodged a complaint with the local police. Personnel from Rayagada Sadar police station reached the spot and launched an investigation with the help of a sniffer dog. Sadar Police are trying to identify the culprits and recover the stolen valuables.
