14 killed as Saudi Aramco helicopter crashes in Ras Tanura, Investigation underway
Bhubaneswar, June 28 -- A helicopter operated by Saudi oil giant Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura on Sunday morning, killing all 14 people on board, according to Saudi Arabia's official state news agency.
The Ministry of Energy confirmed that the accident occurred at around 6 am on June 28. All 14 victims were Saudi nationals. The ministry expressed its condolences, describing the deaths as a tragic loss while confirming that no one survived the crash.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Authorities have launched a formal investigation to establish what led to the helicopter going down. Officials said relevant agencies are participating in the probe, and further details will be shared once the investigation progresses.
