12-Ft long King Cobra rescued from school campus in Ganjam after two-day sighting panic
Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- A 12-foot-long king cobra was rescued from a government school campus in Odisha's Ganjam district after it was spotted inside the premises around 11 pm on Tuesday, triggering panic among local residents.
The incident occurred at the Government Upgraded High School in Ambapur village under the Jarada panchayat. Locals who noticed the massive reptile inside the campus immediately alerted the Forest Department and members of the Chikiti Snake Helpline.
Following the alert, a rescue team rushed to the spot and launched an operation to safely capture the snake. After careful and coordinated efforts, the king cobra, measuring around 12 feet, was successfully rescued without causing any harm to the reptile or residents....
