Bhubaneswar, May 9 -- Police detained two more persons on Saturday for questioning in connection with the Balianta GRP constable Soumya Ranjan Swain's death case. The two individuals, reportedly from Benupur village, are being interrogated as part of the ongoing investigation.
Earlier, police had arrested five persons in the case and sent them to Jharpada jail. Subsequently, six more persons were arrested, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 11.
Meanwhile, Om Prakash, a friend of the deceased constable, reacted publicly to the incident. He denied allegations of misbehaviour levelled by the two young women against Soumya, though he admitted that Soumya had assaulted one of them. Om Prakash also alleged that police personnel...
