10 killed in road mishaps during Raja celebrations in Odisha; experts cite reasons
Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- At least 10 people lost their lives in separate road accidents reported from various districts of Odisha on Pahili Raja on Sunday.
Preliminary reports indicate that the majority of these fatal incidents were driven by vehicular negligence, overspeeding, and widespread non-compliance with established traffic regulations.
Keonjhar reported the highest casualty count, with five individuals losing their lives in two separate road accidents. Two persons died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Kuanar on NH-49 in Kanjipani area under Banspal block.
In an incident reported from Kamakhyanagar region, two persons died due to road accidents.
