Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- Tulasi Gananatya has landed in controversy after a scheduled jatra performance near Rupali Square in Saheed Nagar of Bhubaneswar did not take place on Friday. The event was scheduled from September 11 to 15, with preparations including the setting up of a tent, putting up posters, ticket sales and loudspeaker announcements.

Spectators who had bought tickets arrived at the pandal on Friday, but the show did not take place. Many returned disappointed after finding that the performance had not been held.

"I had bought three tickets, but I had to return disappointed as the show did not take place. We demand a refund or that another scheduled programme be held as compensation," said a jatra spectator.
