Bhubaneswar, March 18 -- Fear has gripped three villages under the Mohana-Chandragiri forest range in Odisha's Gajapati district over the past five days amid reports of a suspected tiger presence, leaving residents anxious and on high alert.

The panic intensified following an alleged attack on livestock, prompting villagers to remain awake at night due to safety concerns. Uncertainty over whether the animal is a tiger or another wild species has further heightened tension in the area.
