'Samosa Railway Station': Loco-pilot stopped train for 'samosa'; viral video sparks outrage
Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- A formal investigation was launched by railway authorities after a viral video surfaced online showing an Indore-Mhow DEMU train reportedly being halted so the driver could purchase samosas from a roadside shop.
As reported by national media sources, the footage sparked widespread public outrage across social media platforms. In the footage it could allegedly be seen that the train was stationary near the Rangwasa Road area in Rau and the loco-pilot stepped out to buy the snacks before returning back.
Following the outrage, the railway authorities disputed the online narrative. They clarified that the selective editing and misrepresentation of the clip spread widespread misinformation.
