Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9 -- Trouble has mounted for Keonjhar youth leader Soumya Sankar Chakra, alias Raja Chakra, after the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) registered a fresh case over allegations of forcibly taking possession of land and a crusher unit and misappropriating Rs 1.22 crore, sources said on Friday.

EOW Registers Case Over Crusher Unit, Land Dispute

The EOW has registered a case against Raja Chakra, Sadashiv Samal and several others and launched an investigation. A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)-rank officer is leading the probe. The dispute centres on a crusher unit and adjoining land in Nunujharan village of the district.
