Bhubaneswar, April 3 -- Chhatrapur Police registered a case against more than five individuals, including organisers, over the alleged use of obscene language and gestures during a Danda Nacha performance held on Thursday in Odisha's Ganjam district.

According to officials, the case was filed against the head and organisers of the Landa Baunsa Danda troupe. The action follows allegations that inappropriate language and gestures were used during the Dhuli Danda segment of the performance.

The matter came to light after a video of the incident went viral, drawing attention from the district administration and prompting police intervention.
