Bhubaneswar, March 29 -- Jagadguru Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati on Saturday said he was not informed or consulted regarding the ongoing inventory of the Ratna Bhandar of PuriSrimandir, raising concerns over adherence to established procedures.

Speaking to reporters at an event in Jagamara in Bhubaneswar, the Shankaracharya stated that he has no knowledge of the inventory process being undertaken.

The Shankaracharya said neither the temple administration nor the district administration had communicated with him on the matter. He indicated that he was not consulted at any stage of the process.

He said, "I have no knowledge of it. The officials did not discuss anything with me, and neither informed me."
