Bhubaneswar, Sept. 13 -- The diaspora Odia cultural programme 'Jhilmil Rati' was successfully organised in Sydney and Melbourne, marking the first time an event featuring Odia cinema artists was held in both Australian cities.

Several well-known personalities from Odisha attended the programmes, including popular actor Sabyasachi, actress Archita, singer Susmita Das and social worker Shashi Kumar Sahu. They showcased Odisha's rich heritage, traditions, music and cultural pride before the Odia diaspora in Australia.

The two programmes received an overwhelming response from the diaspora Odia community, with more than 800 Odia families living in Australia participating in the events.
