Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- The much-discussed 'iPhone Langar' in Chandigarh took a new route on Tuesday. Businessman Rakesh Trehan, known as Raja D King, distributed 10 iPhone 17 handsets from a private bungalow in Sector 10. The giveaway was initially expected to draw people to the city roads.

However, that plan was dropped after Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav flagged crowd-management and safety concerns.

The first recipients were chosen in an unusual way. Trehan reportedly opened his WhatsApp messages and scrolled through them before randomly picking people for the giveaway. Ten people were selected in the first round. ...
