Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- Tikhiri sarpanch Chameli Ojha from Kendrapara district made a series of fresh allegations on Wednesday in the ongoing controversy surrounding her case, claiming that she was assaulted by police personnel while being taken from the block office to the police station.

Speaking about the incident, Chameli alleged that three women police officers physically assaulted her inside the police vehicle. She maintained that the people present at the block office on the day of the incident did not beat her, though she claimed they threatened and misbehaved with her.
