'Heavens are not going to fall': SC declines urgent hearing on plea for CBI probe into Ram Mandir donation row
Bhubaneswar, June 29 -- The Supreme Court on Monday refused to urgently hear a petition seeking a CBI-led probe into the alleged embezzlement of donation funds at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, saying there was no need for immediate intervention.
Observing that "heavens are not going to fall," a bench of Justices MM Sundresh and Sheel Nagu said the matter could be taken up after the court resumes its regular functioning following the summer break. The petition has been listed for hearing during the week of July 12 to 17.
