'Har Har Mahadev' echoes across Odisha on second Sawan Monday
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- Shiva shrines across Odisha witnessed a surge of devotees on the second Monday of the holy month of Sawan. Kanwariyas were seen offering water to Lord Mahadev in large numbers at prominent temples.
According to reports, a group of Kanwariyas carried 108 pots of water in a specially prepared palanquin. The devotees collected the water from the Rushikulya River in Ganjam district and travelled around 100 km to bring it to the Mahadev Balunkeshwar Temple in Parla village under Krushnaprasad block.
