Bhubaneswar, May 28 -- Bhubaneswar Cyber Police on Thursday arrested four cybercriminals who were duping people by sending fraudulent links in the name of the 'Cockroach Janata Party'. The accused, hailing from the Jamtara area in Jharkhand, reportedly used APK files claiming to be from the political party, misleading young users into installing malware and divulging personal information.

In another method, the gang sent APK files disguised as RTO challans, tricking unsuspecting citizens into transferring money. Authorities say the cyberfraudsters specifically targeted youth, exploiting their trust and lack of awareness regarding online scams.
