Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- A motorcycle rider was critically injured after an 'Ama Bus' allegedly ran over his bike near Malachandia Chhak under Badambadi police limits in Cuttack City on Thursday.

According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred near the Ama Bus entry point at Malachandia. The bus allegedly struck the motorcycle and dragged both the vehicle and the rider for nearly 10 feet before coming to a halt. The impact left the rider seriously injured.

Local residents and police personnel rushed to the spot following the incident. The injured rider was rescued and immediately shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) for treatment. His condition is stated to be critical now.
