Jetstar touches down in Colombo
Hong Kong, Aug. 26 -- Australia-based Jetstar Airways yesterday (August 25) added Sri Lanka to its international route network. Read More The inaugural JQ5, operated by 787-8 registration VH-VKA departed Melbourne Tullamarine a little after 1300 local time and landed in Colombo about nine hours and 45 minutes later. The aircraft was on the ground about two hours and 40 minutes before taking off as the reciprocal JQ6 to Tullamarine. The Qantas Group LCC has scheduled three flights a week on the Melbourne-Colombo route.
