India, Aug. 17 -- SIG has appointed Ann-Kristin Erkens as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, replacing Mikko Keto, as the packaging solutions company moves to strengthen leadership continuity and accelerate the next phase of its transformation programme.

The appointment follows progress made under SIG's transformation programme, which was launched in the second half of 2025. During the first half of 2026, SIG improved its adjusted EBIT margin to 15.6 per cent, compared with 14.8 per cent in the prior-year period, while free cash flow increased by more than 100 million year-on-year.
