India, March 4 -- Inaugurates renovated 20,000 litres per day (LPD) milk processing plant at Gungoor, Silchar

NDDB-managed West Assam Milk Producer's Coop Union Ltd (WAMUL) Purabi Dairy formally commenced operations in Barak Valley with the inauguration of the renovated 20,000 litres per day (LPD) milk processing plant at Gungoor, Silchar by Krishnendu Paul, Minister, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Government of Assam. The facility, earlier under the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department has been upgraded under the Assam Dairy Development Plan and operationalised by North East Dairy and Foods, a joint venture of the Government of Assam and the National Dairy Development Board.
