US: Gunman killed by Secret Service following gunfire near White House

Guwahati: Gunfire broke out near the White House on Saturday evening after an individual previously known to the U.S. Secret Service arrived at the complex, pulled out a firearm, and opened fire.
Security personnel responded immediately and fatally shot the attacker.
Officials said a bystander was also injured during the exchange of fire, though details about the injuries and responsibility for the shot remain unclear.
The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Nasir Best, was taken to hospital and later declared dead. No Secret Service personnel were injured.
