UP's Noida International Airport to be renamed after PM Narendra Modi
Guwahati, Oct. 9 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that Noida International Airport in Jewar will be renamed Narendra Modi International Airport.
Located in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, the airport is the second international airport serving the National Capital Region (NCR), alongside Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport's first phase on March 28, 2026, and commercial operations began in June.
The initial phase has one runway and a passenger terminal with an annual capacity of 12 million passengers.
The airport is accessible via the Yamuna Expressway and is intended to ease pressure on Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
