Tripura's child care institutions can serve as a national benchmark, says Union Minister
Agartala, June 29 -- Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi on Monday praised Tripura's child care system, describing the state's Child Care Institutions (CCIs) as a model that could be replicated across the country.
During her visit to several welfare facilities in Agartala, the minister reviewed infrastructure, service delivery, and ongoing development projects aimed at supporting women and children.
She inspected the Girls' Unit-II Child Care Institution at Abhoynagar, the Saksham Anganwadi Centre attached to the Mahila Ashram, and the under-construction Working Women's Hostel.
The Union minister interacted with officials and assessed the quality of services being provided at the institutions.
