Agartala, July 8 -- Tripura has received preliminary investment proposals and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth more than Rs 70,000 crore ahead of the two-day Destination Tripura: Business Conclave 2026, which begins on July 9, state Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma said on Wednesday.

Briefing reporters, Chakma said more than 300 investors and business organisations have confirmed their participation in the conclave. She added that discussions on several additional investment proposals are at an advanced stage and are expected to be finalised during the event.

She said the conclave will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Manik Saha at the International Fair Ground in Hapania on Thursday.
