Tripura Police sets up team to probe DGP's death; forensic analysis begins
Agartala, July 25 -- Tripura Police has constituted a multi-member investigation team headed by the Superintendent of Police (West) to probe the unnatural death of Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Dhankar, even as forensic examination of the senior officer's electronic devices has begun, officials said on Friday.
Dhankar, a 1994-batch IPS officer, was found hanging in the washroom attached to his chamber at the state police headquarters here on July 20.
An unnatural death case was subsequently registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
