Agartala: The Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC) has sought a report from the Director General of Police (DGP) after receiving a complaint from the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress (TPYC) alleging misconduct and the use of excessive force by CRPF personnel during a protest in Agartala earlier this week.

The complaint was submitted to the commission by a TPYC delegation led by state president Neel Kamal Saha.

The petition relates to a protest march held on June 15, which moved through different parts of the city before reaching RMS Chowmuhani, where security barricades had been placed.
