Tripura High Court orders FIR, Crime Branch probe into 2.78 kg gold seizure allegations
Agartala, Aug. 19 -- The Tripura High Court has directed the state police to register a case and ordered a senior Crime Branch officer to investigate allegations that personnel from Bishalgarh police station took 2.780 kg of gold from a passenger during a vehicle interception.
The case stems from an alleged incident on February 21 involving Billal Mia, a resident of Madhyapara in Melaghar. According to his petition, Mia was travelling towards Agartala with 2.780 kg of gold when his vehicle was stopped by personnel from Bishalgarh police station.
