Tripura HC seeks state response on vacancies reserved for visually impaired candidates

Agartala: The Tripura High Court on Tuesday sought a response from the state government regarding the measures taken to fill vacant posts earmarked for visually impaired candidates across various departments.
The government has been directed to present its stand through a separate affidavit, advocate Samarjit Bhattacharjee said.
The observation came during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation filed by the All Tripura Blind Association. According to Bhattacharjee, the petition, filed in 2022, highlighted several difficulties faced by persons with visual disabilities in the state.
