Agartala, July 10 -- Tripura on Friday exported a consignment of organic agricultural products, including scented lemons, Kalikhasa aromatic rice, and Queen pineapples, to Dubai through Lulu Retail.

Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said the initiative would help expand overseas markets for the state's farmers.

The minister flagged off the consignment comprising 1,300 organic scented lemons, 182 kg of organic Kalikhasa aromatic rice, and 350 Queen pineapples.

Addressing the programme, Nath said the export marked another step towards expanding the international market for Tripura's organic produce.
