Agartala, April 12 -- Elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) concluded on Sunday with a high voter turnout of around 83 per cent, even as a few sporadic incidents were reported from parts of the state.
Polling, which began at 7 am, ended at 5 pm, with officials describing the overall process as largely peaceful. Secretary of the Tripura State Election Commission, Anurag Sen, said the final turnout figure could rise further after compilation of reports from all polling stations.
