Tripura: One killed after lathi-charge during VC election counting, IG's vehicle attacked

Agartala: One person was killed amid a clash and a subsequent police lathi-charge during counting of votes for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Village Committee elections at Tulasikhar in Khowai district on Monday, officials and political leaders said.
The deceased was identified as Matilal Karmakar. Leaders of the Tipra Motha party in Khowai claimed he was an active worker of the party.
