Agartala, April 23 -- A five-day surgical camp for the creation of arteriovenous (AV) fistulas has commenced at Tripura's Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital to provide critical support to patients suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, particularly those dependent on long-term dialysis, officials said.
The initiative, organised with the assistance of a team of specialists from Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, aims to address the shortage of trained professionals for AV fistula procedures within the state's public healthcare system.
