Tripura: Ex-militants call off 72-hour strike after talks with administration

Agartala: Seven organisations representing surrendered militants on Saturday called off their 72-hour strike on the second day after holding talks with the West Tripura district administration.
The organisations had launched the agitation to press for an 11-point charter of demands concerning the rehabilitation of former militants.
West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar said the administration had discussed the demands with representatives of all the organisations and reached an understanding on most of the issues.
