Agartala, Aug. 25 -- Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday said differences between the BJP and its alliance partner Tipra Motha over seat-sharing for the upcoming village committee elections were natural and expressed confidence that the two parties would soon reach a consensus.

Speaking to reporters, Saha said disagreements were common among political allies and decisions were ultimately taken through discussions.

"Sometimes they want something and we do not. This happens. Ultimately, we will reach a decision. There will be consensus. It will be announced later," he said.

Asked about the delay in finalising the alliance arrangement, Saha said there was not much time left and indicated that an announcement would be made soon. ...
