Tripura: Bangladeshi youth killed in BSF firing near India-Bangladesh border
Agartala, Aug. 9 -- A 24-year-old Bangladeshi national was allegedly killed in BSF firing near the India-Bangladesh border in Kailashahar of Tripura's Unakoti district in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Tara Mia, a resident of Das Teki village in the Prithimpasha area of Kulaura upazila in Bangladesh's Moulvibazar district. His father was identified as Abdul Malik.
According to local sources and BSF personnel, a group of around five to six Bangladeshi youths allegedly attempted to cross the international border around midnight on Saturday while carrying suspected smuggling materials.
