Guwahati, May 12 -- The 35th Battalion of Assam Rifles has been conferred with the Governor of Tripura Citation 2026 in recognition of its exemplary service and notable role in maintaining peace, ensuring security, and extending humanitarian assistance in the state. The award was presented at a formal Investiture Ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Agartala.

Since its deployment in Agartala in September 2024, the battalion has remained actively involved in multiple security and welfare-related operations. It has earned widespread appreciation for its disciplined approach and effective execution of duties across a range of responsibilities in the region.
