Toy train collides with illegally parked taxi, driver booked
Guwahati, July 12 -- A taxi driver was booked after a vehicle parked dangerously close to the tracks was struck by the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) toy train in West Bengal's Darjeeling.
The incident occurred when the iconic narrow-gauge train was passing along its designated railway line and brushed against a Mahindra Sumo that had allegedly been parked too close to the track.
According to railway authorities, the driver argued with the loco pilot after the collision, claiming the train was on the "wrong side." Officials, however, pointed out that the toy train operates on its fixed railway track, which has existed for more than a century, and cannot deviate from its route to avoid obstacles.
