North Lakhimpur, Aug. 11 -- Tension continued along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh inter-state boundary in Ming Mang near Gogamukh on Tuesday, a day after a firing incident left 11 persons injured.

A fresh confrontation was reported after an armed man from the Arunachal Pradesh side allegedly entered the area and threatened local villagers.

The situation became tense when the man, carrying a gun, entered the Ming Mang area near the Ayang River bridge and allegedly threatened to open fire at local residents. However, a group of local youths reportedly overpowered him following a scuffle and forced him to leave the area.
