Guwahati: BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari is set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday, May 9, following his selection as the leader of the BJP legislature party.
The decision was finalised during a meeting of BJP legislators held in Kolkata in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Speaking after the meeting, Shah said all proposals submitted during the discussion supported Adhikari's name for the post of Chief Minister.
