Guwahati, Sept. 22 -- Smriti Mandhana has become the first woman cricketer to cross the 11,000-run mark in international cricket, reaching the milestone during India's Asian Games title clash against Sri Lanka.

Mandhana marked the achievement with a dominant knock in the final, scoring 79 off 45 deliveries, including five fours and seven sixes. Her innings came at a strike rate of 175.56 and helped India post 216/3 after opting to bat first.

The left-handed batter is already the leading run-scorer in women's T20Is, having amassed 4,867 runs in 179 matches, including two centuries and 37 half-centuries. In ODIs, she has scored 5,411 runs in 120 appearances, with 14 centuries and 35 fifties.
