Guwahati, July 21 -- The Sikkim government on Monday introduced six Bills in the State Assembly on the first day of the four-day Budget session, covering healthcare, higher education, skill development and regulatory reforms.

Ayush Minister G.T. Dhungel tabled the Sikkim Medical Council for Indian System of Medicine Bill, 2026, which proposes the creation of a statutory council to regulate practitioners of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathy across the state.
